MOMMY CARE
Mommy Care is a wearable breastfeeding assistant designed for mothers who cannot breastfeed directly. The product stimulates the nipple area to promote milk production while collecting milk through a detachable storage bag.

DESIGN PROCESS

Research shows that nipple stimulation triggers oxytocin release, which supports milk production and strengthens the mother–baby bond. Testing existing products revealed that most solutions only address isolated problems such as pumping, nipple protection, or milk storage.
The concept integrates three components into one wearable system: a nipple/areola massager, a replaceable milk storage bag, and a soft rubber nipple. Designed to be worn inside underwear, it aims to reduce operational steps and keep the experience discreet and hands-free during daily life.

The system supports two activation modes: manual triggering by the user, or automatic triggering by the baby’s sucking action—recreating the natural breastfeeding stimulus. Technically, a miniature air pump inflates internal airbags to generate rhythmic massage; sensors monitor pressure and adjust intensity; the device completes a cycle and stops automatically, after which the milk bag can be removed for storage.
